וַיֶּחֱזַ֤ק הָעָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַחֲרֵ֣י עָמְרִ֔י אֶת־הָעָ֕ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַחֲרֵ֖י תִּבְנִ֣י בֶן־גִּינַ֑ת וַיָּ֣מָת תִּבְנִ֔י וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ עָמְרִֽי׃ (פ)
Przemógł jednak lud, który szedł za Omrim, on lud, który szedł za Tibnym, synem Ginata; gdy tedy umarł Tibny, został królem Omri.
Rashi on I Kings
And Tivni died. When Asa took Omri’s daughter in marriage for Yehoshofot his son, they killed Tivni,4Alternatively, he died a natural death and thereby Omri ruled undisputedly.—Radak See v. 23 below and Rashi there. when they saw Omri’s prominence; according to Seder Olam.
